Research
Research in the Geological Sciences Department runs the gamut from Archean/Paleoproterozoic geochemistry of marine environments, to Paleozoic tectonics, to Holocene climate and sea level change. Although departmental research activities have a decidedly regional bent, our interests and active projects extend beyond the boundaries of the state, region, and continent, giving students the opportunity to participate in a variety of projects in a variety of places.
